Student Sustainability Alliance
About
The Student Sustainability Alliance hopes to unify the student body as a whole in an effort to create a more sustainable community. It provides a forum for communication from the students to the staff. Members of the SSA are in direct contact with the operational departments and therefore can communicate effectively on what the students want to see regarding sustainability on campus.
The Student Sustainability Alliance will be a closed committee of 12 students and will be overseen by the SGA Environmental and Sustainability Coordinator. Applications for the SSA will be released early in the fall semester. Join the SSA mailing list to be notified of when the applications are released.

Purpose
The purpose of the SSA is to:
1. Educate the student body on sustainability including environmental protection, economic development, and social justice.
2. Communicate with the operational departments and faculty on campus about student's needs.
3. Participate in and develop sustainability projects on campus
The SSA also provides a way for students to obtain information regarding sustainability on campus and around the Central Florida area. Weekly emails are sent out that describe local sustainability related events. In addition, the SSA develops and participates in sustainability projects like the community vegetable and herb garden.

Mailing List
Please email sustainableucf@mail.ucf.edu or fill out the form under "contact us" if you would like to receive updates about the Student Sustainability Alliance.
