Herbarium / Arboretum Library

Herbarium / Arboretum Library Founded in 1968, the UCF herbarium is a registered facility for the deposit, curation and study of preserved plant specimens. The collection holds about 10,000 specimens of vascular plants, bryophytes, cryptogams and fungi. The herbarium is located in Room 304 of the Research Pavilion on research Parkway, and may be visited by appointment. Holdings are accessioned in BG-Base.

The Arboretum library consists of approximately 2,500 volumes cataloged according to the Dewey decimal system and Library of Congress. Call numbers are accessioned in BG-Base. The library collection emphasizes botany, horticulture, zoology, ecology, environmental studies, natural history and Floridana.
