The UCF Arboretum works closely with the Biology Department to support undergraduate and graduate research on campus.  Examples of current and proposed research topics are:

• Effects of prescribed burning on vegetation structure and succession (current)
• Effect of fuel load on scrub vegetation response to a prescribed fire

• Control of invasive plant species (current)
• Hydrology of urban wetland fragments (current)

• Invertebrate sampling (done by the Bug Closet)
• Wildlife Crossing Project (managed by Dr. Reed Noss, Biology Department)
• Soil analyses (proposed
